Schedule: The day starts with Zak Nemorin – our master teacher in Matt Mattox based isolation technique – at 10am with a 3 hour workshop designed especially for teachers. Lunch is 1pm – 2pm, then the full feature length documentary ‘Uprooted – The Journey of Jazz Dance’ will be screened from 2pm – 3.35pm followed by a talk back with Zak.

More About our master teacher Zak Nemorin:
Zak is a critically acclaimed choreographer, performer and filmmaker. Hailed as one of the UK’s leading teacher’sin Jazz Dance, specialising in Matt Mattox based Isolation Technique.After almost twenty years appearing in seventeen Musical Theatre productions in the West End, around Europeand in North America, appearing on TV and in Film, Zak turned his sights to being a creative, creating works forphysical theatre companies, at Edinburgh Festival and off Broadway. He choreographed Gentlemen PreferBlondes at The Union Theatre, receiving an Offie Award finalist nomination for Best Choreographer and winningBest Musical 2020. He also choreographed for TV’s Midsomer Murders and Agatha Raisin and is a sought-afterteacher around Europe.Zak is Head of Dance at Millennium Performing Arts, Artistic Director for its student company ToTheCore, which provides apprenticeship opportunities for his own professional version,TheJazzCore, a spicy collective of dance artists devoted to the lineage of Jazz Dance in all its forms.
